Indulge your body and mind
Here is an outline with some suggestions on how to
pamper yourself for a day, and treat your body to some
long-needed attention. You can do all the steps or skip
some depending on the time available and your specific skin
needs.
First and most importantly, make sure you have the house to
yourself and a lot of free time to indulge. Pick out some
relaxing music, and get comfortable.
Shower or Bath: If taking a bath, start by adding our Bath Tea
to the water to soften and condition the water for you. Start by
cleansing your skin with a Shower Gel of your choice. Lather
it up and rinse. After you have thoroughly cleaned your skin,
choose a body scrub to exfoliate all the dead and dry skin.
Honey Bee Scrub is highly recommended for this. Be gentle
with your skin. You do not need to scour your skin until it is
raw. Gently massage the scrub around your skin in a circular
motion and rinse off when done.
After the shower: Towel off and apply a light moisturizer to
your entire body excluding your face. Our Body Lotions are
perfect for this. Another quick and easy way to moisturize is by
using our Body Sprays. For problem areas such as knees and
elbows that require a stronger moisturizer, consider using a
Body Butter for these areas.
Next, fill a large bowl with boiling water and throw in a few tea
bags. Now is also a good time to pour yourself a cup of your
favorite tea. Chamomile or Green Tea will work well here.
Save your tea bags for later. Take a towel and drape it over
your head and the bowl of water. Lean your head over the
bowl and allow the steam to soak into your face. Do this for
about five minutes. The steam will open your pores and help
release the toxins in your skin.
After the five minutes are up, mix up a Clay Facial Mask
according to the directions. Apply it to your face and allow to
dry. This should take about ten to fifteen minutes. When the
mask is dry to the touch in most areas, it is ready to come off.
Do not leave it on for more than fifteen minutes or it may dry
your skin. Use a wash cloth and warm water to gently remove
your mask. Use circular motions to wet the mask, and go
slowly. Your face will appear red after using the mask, but this
will soon fade.
Now gently pat dry your face and retrieve one of your tea
bags. Apply the tea bag to your entire face as a toner. The
tea will act as an astringent that will cause your skin to feel
smoother. Do not wash it off afterwards, simply allow it to dry
on your face.
Don't neglect your hands and feet! Use a Body Butter and
apply it to your finger and toe nails as well as the cuticles.
This will help moisturize your nails so they don't appear dry
and flaky. Once you have completed that...you have
completed your spa ritual for the day which can only be
enhanced by having your significant other give you a massage
using some Whipped Shea Butter or our Hazelnut Chocolate
